Creating an Airport Extreme wireless network

Step 4 - port forwarding

Some programs (like P2P software) require an "active" mode connection to the Internet to get the best results. You can forward individual ports to individual computers on the "Port Forwarding" tab.

Instructions:

If, for example, you want to have port 80 on an internal network computer (e.g. 10.0.1.4) accessible from the net on port 80: click the "Add" button on the right hand side of the window and enter 80 as the Public Port, 80 as the Private Port, and 10.0.1.4 as the Private Address.

You should now have a fully working wireless network! For information on how to share files and devices between computers on the network please use the guides in the left menu.
